When it comes to job seeking many people forget the old maxim ‘quality, not quantity’. Whilst I always advise job seekers to widen their net as far as possible in order to catch as many opportunities as they can, I can never advocate the ‘scattergun’ approach.
Yet that is just what many people on the job hunt actually do. Apply apply apply and hope that a job, any job comes along?
Wrong! If this is your approach, you are doing your job hunt far more harm than good and could be wasting a lot of precious time in the process.
You will have worked hard on building your resume, and it’s important to get it to the right people, for the jobs you really want.
